One of the most important questions in church planting is where to start. If you have a general interest in a geographical area or people group that is in Europe, emRG is able to assist you in gathering data.

Region Dossiers

Using the emRG Focus Matrix Approach we are able to help you build a dossier that will enable you identify possible target groups, find out where the whitespots are located and develop cultural profiles that will help you begin to reach your target groups.

With the data gathered in the dossier, emRG is able to conduct a Harvest Field Analysis, taking into account the specific need of an area, the available resources as well as the unity of christians in the region and the Lord’s leading in that situation. In this way white spots turn into hot spots, indicating where the Lord is moving and increasing the chances for a successful startup.

GPS Prayer Walking

Once a possible hot spot for the church plant is located, emRG will assist you in doing field studies to further identify existing target groups and doors of opportunity for ministry among them. This can be done by prayerfully walking different parts of an area in small groups.

The route of each group is recorded with a GPS tracking device. Each group takes photos of places of dispair and places of hope. They also conduct interviews with people they meet in the area. The photos and interviews are synchronized with the GPS track.

All of this serves to find answers to the four important questions: Who lives in the area? Where do they live? How can they be reached? With whom can we connect and work together? The results of that prayerwalk will then be shared with the whole church planting team in an engaging way.

The impressions are made vividly available through the photos and interviews and through GPS tracking. The region becomes very clear and the information stimulates both prayer and action.
